“He talked about nothing but football…by the time I left him
I knew more about it than most managers” – Danielle Souness

- Please Note: the project to re-surface the training pitch at Curzon has been put on hold until May next year. The logistics of doing it any sooner did not suit the club nor its requirements for community use and training purposes. As walking footballer’s we have less time to look forward to than most but we can be sure, for most of us anyway, it will be worth the wait ! The project will take from eight to sixteen weeks to complete so the summer of 2018 may be challenging – but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it

- UPDATE 2/2/18 – FANTASTIC NEWS!! THE PROJECT HAS BEEN GIVEN THE GREEN LIGHT BY THE FOOTBALL FOUNDATION AT LAST!! a fantastic development for Curzon Ashton F.C. and the community within it and around it. Congratulations to all concerned, not least the donors from our own ranks.
March 14th. the balance of £437 has now been paid in to Mark Bradshaw’s ‘Just Giving Crowdfunder’ – meaning a total of £1037 has been raised in total. Well done. Almost everyone who pledged delivered and if anyone else wishes to donate contact Mark Bradshaw individually. The appeal is now closed. Along with the donation, I posted the ‘scroll’ image shown below on Mark’s Facebook page so he knows who gave so generously to the overall total, including those who have not yet played at Ashton – remarkable generosity , in my opinion.
March 13th update and more money in from ~ Colin Fielding & Alan Graham today – thank you. The excess over £600 will be paid into Mark’s ‘just giving – crowdfunder appeal’ in midweek. A last chance tomorrow for those oustanding pledges to be paid.
March 7th. OUTSTANDING receipts – in more ways than one..these Strider’s have NEVER even played at Curzon…
March 6th… an update
This is a means of supporting Curzon Ashton F.C’s drive to resurface their training ground which WE walking footballers of The Nash Ambler’s play on. The club are £30,000 short of their target of £300,000. To cover this shortfall they aim to sell 50 of these boards and have challenged every one of their many different teams from Juniors, to Girls and Women to raise enough cash to pay for a board for each team. We walking footballers have risen to this challenge and we have seen a great response…
£600 was handed over to the club on 6th.March – the artwork above for the ad. board will be submitted in due course
